Badass Teachers!!!

Friday, July 31, 2009 Edit This
In the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, "risky" stunts were staged in honor of the centennial of the founder of the state's modern education system.

At one school, a martial-arts trainer drove a motorcycle over students' outstretched hands. Another stunt involved a motorcycle zooming over a plank placed on top of a girl. Parents thought death-defying motorcycle tricks would be the perfect way to show off their children' s physicality, developed from karate lessons!!!

Crazy parents!!! What in the world were you thinking!!!

However, relatives of the higher education minister who were attending the event protested and the stunts were stopped. AND BANNED!

Bio Disc

Wednesday, July 29, 2009 Edit This

My next door neighbour came running towards me and showed me this glass piece. She asked me whether I know about this. When I replied negative, she then told me that it's called a Bio Disc and has got some healing properties. Her cousin had come from Canada to visit Kuwait and saw her using this almost everyday. Upon enquiring, she also came to know that her cousin's dad, who is in his 80's and couldn't walk properly, started to walk after using this!
My neighbour's son saw this and he told "Mom!!! One of my friend in university gifted this on my birthday last year. I thought it was some kind of showpiece and just abondoned it on my shelf!" (May be his friend didnt know what it was :p)
Well, this small disc is priced around $500 and has got a guarantee for 15 years! Here it costs around K.D. 100 - K.D. 150.

Now, what is this thing exactly? I googled it up and here's the info:

What is Amezcua Bio Disc?
  • The Bio Disc is a natural energy generating device that produces scalar energy frequencies that have no negative side effects.
  • The energy created specifically rejuvenates molecular structures in all liquids.
  • The molecular structure causes any liquid to become more hydratious, taste better and extend shelf life.
What is it made of?
  • The Bio Disc is made of 13 technically engineered natural minerals.
  • A Nano fusion using several high heat fusion methods, structurally bonds the minerals together, at a molecular level.
  • The combination of the minerals and the fusion techniques produces a catalytic conversion of energy known as "Scalar energy".
  • This 21st century technology develops a long lasting natural scalar resonance which has the ability to be transferred to any liquid, renewing the natural molecular chains.
How does the energy tranfer to the water using Bio Disc?
  • The Bio Disc energy spins into the liquid, counter clockwise, or the liquid can be poured over the bio disc where it ‘picks up’the resonance.
  • The resonance generated is similar to that which is found in the earth surrounding many healing spring waters of the world.
Suggested Applications:
  • Instantly enhance your beverages by running them over the Amezcua Bio Disc.
  • Place your containers of creams and cosmetics on top of the Amezcua Bio Disc to energise them. You will notice an improved absorption rate.
  • Water your plants with water treated with the Amezcua Bio Disc to energise them and assist them in their water and nutrient uptake.
  • Put the Amezcua Bio Disc in your refrigerator to boost the quality and taste of your food and beverages.
  • Wash your fruits and vegetables with the Amezcua Bio Disc to energise them and keep them fresh for longer.
  • Carry the Amezcua Bio Disc with you to improve your harmony and energy levels.
  • Place your beverages and bottles on top of the Amezcua Bio Disc to energise your drinking water.
  • Place under bed to improve Sleep
  • Place in a bath of water to improve body energy
  • Carry on the body to stop Jet Lag and improve energy levels
  • Rub cigarettes to reduce toxification
  • Place in Fish tank to energize fishes

Below are some of the benefits:

  • Fresher tasting drinking water.
  • When showering or bathing, water does not "leach" energy and minerals out of bather, but contributes energy and promotes detoxification.
  • Increased lathering ability of soap, shampoo, detergent, etc.
  • Improved plant growth and seed germination.
  • Reduction or elimination of chlorine odor and chlorine gas from the shower.
  • Prevents corrosion of piping systems, hot water tanks, dishwashers, air conditioning units, heating systems, ice machines, etc.
  • Energise water and other liquids
  • Enhance the taste of food and beverages
  • Help improve sleep
  • Help balance ying and yang and create a CHI life force
  • Helps detoxify and hydrate body cells
  • Enhance immune system
  • Helps reduce stress level
  • Increases nutritional intake
  • Increase oxygenation of the blood
  • Helps increase mental cognition

I do not know how far this is true. If anyone is using this, please do drop in a word about it.

Catching Up With Myself

Wednesday, July 29, 2009 Edit This

Life spins out of control around me

I forget why I am here.

I step outside and suddenly remember

at the end of the day there is nothing to fear.

I hold my heart close to my mind
I never let it get out of hand

but I let my emotions take over

and find myself crying again.

I don't want to be weak like any other woman

who gets thrown a hardball and gives up
If I could be born another woman

I would never let the world show me up.

Love gets blown out of proportion
I feel myself losing my grip

as reality runs away from me
making way for confusion and insanity.

I run so fast I can't feel the wind
I jump so far I can't see my shadow
I feel so much I can't distinguish
anything except who You are.

I refuse to be weak like that woman

who raised me up with a will to fight

but never taught me that a real woman

knows when she isn't right.

We climb up just to slide back down

eternal purgatorious pain we allow
to break us up until we fall back to the ground

to break into pieces that shatter like frozen water.

I watch the moon rise without me

I've been away for way to long
I just hope they can forgive me

when I admit I was wrong.

I'm slowly learning how to be a woman

who lives by her heart and her own hands
I refuse to go back to being that woman

who never learned to understand.

A visit to 360

Sunday, July 12, 2009 Edit This

Had been to the newly opened 360 mall at Al-Zahra area with my family and I must say it’s just awesome!

There are plenty of free parking lots as well as paid ones. Unlike the Airport mall, they charge you a very nominal and cheap amount, just 100 fils for the first hour and 50 fils for each extra hour. Better to pay than heading towards the free zone as you wouldn’t be able to find an inch of space.

We parked our car on the first level and as we enter inside, we are welcomed by a beauitful floral décor in bright orange hues with a dash of red and yellow. As usual, I was mesmerized by seeing that, that I forgot to snap a pic! (***knock knock on my head***) :P

After the décor, we come to this view…

I remember seeing Damas on my left and on my right, the first shop I saw was Nespresso. They do have a tasting counter where you can try out de-caffeinated ones, flavored ones, you name it, they got it! Plus, they do have coffee machines for sale. Try it out! :D

Then comes a couple of shops like MANGO, GAP etc… which aren’t open yet. Go little further, and we see another décor. This time it’s blue in color.

Marks & Spencers, GUESS, Coffee Republic, , A Pea in a Pod, etc., etc… Oops I lost track :D

I went and checked out the restrooms… Clean, neat, looong… Me likey!

It seems this mall has allowed only BKME to open a branch since the owner of 360 is a relative of BKME’s chairman. It got 10 ATM counters all over, plus, you did find an Al-Ahli ATM too.

On the ground level, there’s one more Marks & Spencers, Caribou Coffee, Monte Blanc, ... Oh and there was one place decorated with mirror and some décor with a plain black background. Looked somewhat attractive. Anyone would try to get a peek. There was something written in Arabic and I was too lazy too read it. We go in, expecting it to be a diamond shop or Swarovsky or something and, voila! It’s an exhibition displaying the life of Umm Khultum!!! Yes, you heard it right, Umm Khultum.

Alrite, alrite!!! I’m talking as if I know Umm K. Well, to be frank, we didn’t have the slightest idea who she was, although I remembered reading that name somewhere in the newspaper yesterday morning. Once I reached home, I googled her up….

She was an Egyptian singer, songwriter and actress. We liked the exhibition, although it felt more like we were in a haunted house and, it also reminded us of the museums we visited last year in Egypt. It was pitch dark with few spotlights sprouting from here and there.

We head towards Basement 1. There’s a mid-level between ground and B1. Didn’t check out that level. At B1, there’s Geant, BKME , Freedom Furniture, Dunkin Donuts, Al-Muzzaini Exchange, Scale, Vitamin Shop, Toys R Us, etc…

Freedom Furniture has got a pretty decent collection of furnitures as well as household and crockery items.

We thought of taking rest at Dunkin Donuts but it was too crowded. We head to Geant. The moment we enter, we felt the place looked familiar as their arrangement is exactly like Carrefour at the Avenues.

Geant even had an offer on big red onions. Unlike Lulu, they had it for 0.075 fils/kg , and there was no rush! (Click here for a prev. post so as to understand why I mentioned this) :D

After all the shopping, just beside Geant we order hot chocolate, café latte, and tea from Enjoy (I think tht’s the name, I’m not sure, I was too exhausted to even check that!) Why hot drinks in this melting summer you must be wondering? We were literally frozen since we spend sometime next to the frozen sections (at Geant), and since the place is new, their air-conditioners are super-chilled! :P

Couldn’t visit the upper-most floor where the theatres are located… Who wouldn’t be exhausted roaming around the whole place for about 5 hours!!! Will try it out next time…

Ouchhhh!!! My feet still hurts :(

I heart Grocery Shopping

Friday, July 10, 2009 Edit This
I enjoy going shopping for groceries, especially when I can go solo...
It kinda relaxes me...
I love checking out new products, reading labels taking my own time, ...
Today I did been to the Lulu Hypermarket @ Shuwaikh. The place was crowded as it's the weekend.
I managed to snap a few pics, which you can see below. At their bakery section, I saw amazing display of cakes. I grabbed for my mobile to click and the Filipino lady at the counter told "No photo taking!"
Darn!!!
I replied "Lady! Tht's rude! Atleast you could have told in a more polite way. I can terminate you if I want since the owner is my dad's friend! Shall I???" ... and all these I spoke in my mind :D
But, I managed to take this hehehe

I went away from there and I saw a board hanging down the ceiling which said "No photography allowed inside. Eating food is prohibited too." Blahhh as if I care :p

This made me wonder how you bloggers go on taking pictures at places. Do you hide and take or you openly snap them? :D

Danderma's fav drink... I tried it out dear... It's awesome, me likey!

Would you like to have some wine? Ofcourse, it's non-alcoholic!!!
